After a period of silence, AC Milan is ready to place the first important mercato shot of the summer transfer window.
Another Belgian player after Origi, is the target for Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara: the Rossoneri are ready to welcome the talented 21-year-old Charles De Ketelaere to Milan. In the last few hours, the distance between the offer and demand has narrowed. The latest offer from the club directors is around 30 million euros plus bonuses, payable in several tranches.
De Ketelaere already feels like a Rossoneri player and has turned down several offers, especially the one with Leeds. Even his club, Club Brudges, have started to give into the idea of selling the player to AC Milan by now, even for a lower sum than what Leeds have presented.
His agent, Tom De Mul, spent several days in Milan, where he met several times with the Rossoneri management. In the next hours Maldini and Massara should leave for Belgium to close the deal with De Ketelaere, who could arrive in Milan by the weekend.
AC Milan - De Ketelaere: the first real market coup is not far away.
