Samuele Ricci gave an interview to DAZN in which he spoke about his journey at Torino so far, as well as the transfer rumors linking him to a top club. Milan is one of the teams most interested in the 2001-born midfielder for the summer.
On transfer rumours:
"They’re flattering for anyone, but it’s very important to stay focused on what you’re doing. If you get too caught up in them, it becomes a problem, and you lose focus. They can be a good thing, but they can also be harmful—it depends on how you take them and what kind of personality you have. I always try to keep my head here."
On his playing style:
"Perhaps the buildup phase suits my characteristics best, but I also enjoy the defensive phase and trying to read the ball’s trajectory. One of my role models is Rodri. I really like switching play; I need to improve on the left side, but I prefer the right. I enjoy playing as a deep-lying playmaker more than as a mezzala. Where do I need to improve? Mainly in aggression and physical duels, though I’ve made progress compared to the past. Juric’s style of play helped me a lot in that regard—it was very physical, and I had no choice but to learn."
On players who have impressed him in the national team, Ricci said:
"Tonali impressed me—I’d love to steal his aggression."
