This saturday, the well-known German website Transfermarkt have published a debate on their forum discussing what would Milan Legends be worth in the current transfer market, and then left the decision in the hands of football fans.
Apart from the age, which is a crucial element in valuing players, Transfermarkt have chosen a fixed season as an evalution point for each player, a season that should represent the best of the player's journey wearing the Rossoneri jersey, and asked their voters to only consider their achievements up to this point in time.
Starting with one of the greatest defenders of all-time, the 26-year-old Paolo Maldini, based on his age and shape from the 1993/1994 campaign, the now technical director of Milan was valued at least above 100 million euros by everyone, with the average being set at roughly €150M.
For more context, the current front-runner among defenders when it comes to market value, is Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold with €110M, followed by teammate Virgil Van Dijk and Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies with €80M each.
