AC Milan looked to sign Junior Firpo from Barcelona but the full-back refused the move to Milanello. Therefore, the club could still be searching for a backup for Theo Hernandez on the left.
According to Tuttosport, sports director of the Rossoneri, Paolo Maldini, is eyeing two names, the first is Matias Vina. He is a 23 year-old Uruguayan left-back playing currently for Palmeiras in Brazil. The second name is Nuno Mendes from Sporting Lisbon, a talented 18 year-old Portuguese full-back.
However, the newspaper adds that it will be difficult to complete one of the operations by the end of the month during this mercato.
