AC Milan resumed the league path after the loss against Inter in the cup, by winning today against Bologna 2-1. Coach Stefano Pioli spoke to the Italian media after the game during the conference. Here are his words:

"To win in this league, you have to struggle but we created a lot. Then, we committed an error that put them back into play but it's nice to win like this."

You now have a week to recover. How important for you are the returns of Bennacer and Calhanoglu?

"The more players we have, the more chances we have on substitutions. We now have a week to prepare for the next match which we have not had until now. We can have a good match."

Was there a stamina struggle in the final minutes of this match?

"No, there was no physical difficulties for us. After the goal, we kept the ball and we were still dangerous. We played the way that we were supposed to play. In my opinion, this was an excellent match."

What kind of answer did you get today from your squad?

"A strong response from the team today. In the last two days, we had increased our pace and quality."

A comment on Leao?

"Yes, he did a great performance. Today we had 10 chances, we won a lot of duels and had a great race. We have to continue like this."
