After a first season heavily conditioned by the elbow injury picked up in the first match against Crotone, Ante Rebic was ready for a great 2021. But, unfortunately, he tested positive to covid-19 later which slowed him down once again. Luckily, the Croatian has recovered quickly and now has even more desire to return as decisive as he was a year ago: he is not yet at 100% of his form, as the player himself admitted, but scoring three goals in the last two league games is undoubtedly a good way to restart.
Today, La Gazzetta dello Sport's edition reports that Rebic has finally found himself and the elbow injury is only a distant memory. The worst is behind us, but the future is absolutely promising. "If Milan really want to fight until the end for the Scudetto, they also need the best Rebic", added the newspaper.
Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao are in a runoff on the left wing, but Stefano Pioli does not rule out (as he said in a recent post-game interview)that in some situations we can see a super attack with the Rebic - Calhanoglu - Leao trio behind Ibrahimovic.
This is a hypothesis that fascinates everyone at Milanello, including coach Pioli who, however, knows well that balance is needed on the pitch.
