Coach Stefano Pioli expressed his frustration at the result against Spezia. Here are his words to Sky Sport:
"We weren't able to put in a good performance. The opponents did better than us, the responsibilities are totally ours, we have to learn from this defeat and start again. There are situations where we were not as precise and prepared as we usually are."
On his conversation with Ibrahimovic during the game:
"We talk to find the best solutions for the ongoing match. We suffered because of Spezia's pressing system. Then later, it got even harder for us to recover the ball."
On what to do to start again:
"It is a match that must make us understand that when we play with our qualities, we do well, tonight we did not succeed. The next matches are important, I'm sure we will be prepared."
What should have been done differently:
"We had to move in a better way with and especially without the ball. We gave way to their pressing."
On Rebic:
"He had a minor injury yesterday, but I think he will be available for the next game of Europa League."
On not taking advantage of Juventus' loss:
"There is regret for not having put on a performance of our standards. None of the team players succeeded and neither did I, it is a match that must be archived. We have to go back to playing as we know."
