Gazzetta: Donnarumma’s renewal getting increasingly complicated and difficult

While the concern of Stefano Pioli and his staff in the field work is directed to the path of Milan, which must forget the recent defeats and relaunch immediately, for the managers there is another concrete goal to be achieved as soon as possible: the renewal of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

There is risk of losing one of the best goalkeepers in Italian and international football. Obviously, the management obviously does not want that stage.

However, it is a difficult deal  because of  the requests, as usual, of football agent and player representative Mino Raiola, a real obstacle to the negotiation.

The latest information published today by La Gazzetta dello Sport discusses the gap still to be bridged between Milan and Raiola for the renewal issue.

Donnarumma, by now we know, has long ago made it clear that his absolute priority is the extension with the Rossoneri club.

Raiola's requests are currently to be considered unacceptable for Paolo Maldini and the rest of the club management: the agent is asking for a 10 million euros net salary for Donnarumma until 2023 as maximum duration, or for only two years of contract.

A solution can be found on the contract duration, Milan, in fact can offer a 3 year-deal. But, there remains the worry regarding the economic part.

There are those who are sure that Raiola's big demands are only a strategy, given that no club in the world in time of a pandemic would be able to grant 10 million euros net to a goalkeeper, as pointed out by La Gazzetta.
