It has been quite some time now since the famous quarrel took place between Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan and Romelu Lukaku of Inter. However, the media still talks about it as it is a popular discussion topic.
An investigation by the Federal Prosecutor's Office has even started, which for some days has been collecting the testimonies of the participants in the so-called 'brawl' of the derby: first the referee Valeri, then Ibra and finally Lukaku yesterday, all called to expose the reality of the facts.
In fact, according to the latest edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the investigation in question would not have produced elements necessary to intervene heavily on the two players of Milan and Inter.
Initially there was even talk of racist phrases uttered by Ibrahimovic against Lukaku, especially for the now famous comment on the voodoo rituals.
But the prosecutor would have established the opposite, namely that the words flown between the Swedish and the Belgian were only the result of teasing and insults from the field, without any relation to racism or xenophobic demonstrations.
We are therefore moving towards a plea bargain. To ethically and morally close the case, the prosecutors will ask the two attackers to apologize publicly (Ibra has already done so for days) and to find a minimum penalty to dismiss everything.
Possibly, a fine can be paid by both Ibrahimovic and Lukaku for what happened between them in the Derby Della Madonnina.
On the other hand, there is the idea of an extra round of disqualification in the Italian Cup for both, given that the report of the referee Valeri speaks of a heated dispute, which lasted until the end of the first half.
