Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of Bayern Munich , is an old friend of Italy. For three seasons, from 1984 to 1987 , he played in the Serie A, wearing the Inter shirt.
A few days before the Milan derby whichh is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, Rummenigge gave an interview to the microphones of Il Corriere della Sera. Here are some of the important quotes:
On seeing Paolo Maldini as part of AC Milan's management:
"He did well to take his time before starting, so he has a different vision. He is doing a great job, Milan has been missing a lot even at the international level. But now the club is now reborn."
On what the derby represents for him:
“It's special. I also scored a very beautiful and important goal, in the 2-2 in March 1985. It is the most important match of the season and it is even more important now. I hope Inter win this time."
On winning the derby as a turning point for the title:
