AC Milan former legendary defender, Filippo Galli, spoke during the "Giovane Italia" project about the past and present. Here are his words:
On Pobega's arrival to Milan:
"I remember when he arrived at AC Milan. He was small from a structural point of view but it was not a problem because that is not the most important aspect in the choice of taking players."
On Pobega's qualities:
"When I think of Tommaso I think of a boy who is determined also in the aspect of school and in his studies. In Italy, it is still difficult to understand the importance of the training path."
On the youth sectors:
"We need to invest in people who lead to growth of players. AC Milan has grown a lot in recent months and therefore the standards are also high."
"Tommaso's great ability is to actually adapt to the context in which he is inserted. The 99' group at the beginning was not highly deemed but had a great spirit of sacrifice and curiosity in knowing new contexts . He has made an important journey that he earned. He has had the resilience and this makes him a player who can always improve."
On Pobega's career:
"I hope he can have a growing career. You have to know how to wait. Calabria's last year seemed the poorest of all and now he has grown a lot. In growth, there is no rush, everyone has the the strength to get up. That is also part of the talent."
On Maggiore of Spezia who scored against Milan:
"Maggiore is a guy we selected at Milan and then gave him up. You can't go against the will of a kid and it's right that he has followed his path."
