TMW: Getafe willing to lower price for their left-back. AC Milan is on the trail of the player

Matias Vina, Iago, Nuno Mendes, Junior Firpo, Jordan Amavi. These are the names that have been circulating in orbit Milan for several weeks, looking for a left-back who can make Theo Hernandez catch his breath.

The Uruguayan from Palmeiras is a profile that has long been liked, that of the French Olympique Marseille the cheapest (he will be a free agent in June). In recent days, however, the attention seems to have been directed towards a compatriot of Vina: Mathias Olivera , born in 1997 playing for Getafe.

Arriving in Spain in 2017, he gradually managed to carve out a leading role in the team, which had sent him on loan to Albacete to allow him to grow and play continuously.

Since his return, he has never left his starting position: fundamental in the splendid ride in the Europa League last season, he has already made 19 appearances between the league and Copa del Rey.

The former Nacional has a 20 million euro release clause. But Getafe, hit like many other clubs by the coronavirus pandemic, are willing to negotiate even for a lower price.

In case of qualification for the next Champions League, AC Milan will have to make some choices and one of these will certainly concern the confirmation of Diogo Dalot in the squad.

The Portuguese young full-back from Manchester United did not convince when he was adapted to the left and would cost more than Olivera; in the right lane, then, the deputy Calabria could be Kalulu.

Therefore, it is necessary to purchase a "ready" player on the left defensive flank, more experienced than the young Milos Kerkez, who will continue to grow in the Primavera for now.

In the summer it could be Olivera who wears the Rossoneri shirt, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

A previous report from Spain linked Olivera to AC Milan, which you can read here.
