The Rossoneri drew 2-2 to Red Star Belgrade. Some would argue that it is a useful result, but certainly something could have been done better, as the majority of the fans think.
In light of the result, Giuseppe Bergomi, who spoke at Sky Sport, commented on Mandzukic's performance against the Red Star:
"With Mandzukic you need patience, you have to wait and he will eventually reach the optimal condition. He is not Ibrahimovic, the Swede controls a high ball and he puts it on the ground and he passes it. In my opinion Mandzukic would do a little better if moved rather than being central, even if he can be a center forward."
