Theo Hernandez, one of the pillars of AC Milan's current squad, gave an interview to DAZN.

Here are the French fullback's words:

On the derby:

"Here in Milan the derbies are all important, but certainly this will be more important for the position and the small gap that separates us: it will be a great derby. A hard and intense match but I think we will have a good game. Who am I most afraid of? In reality, I am not afraid of anyone and neither are my teammates afraid. We will play our game and fight to win."

On his moves forward:

"When I recover the ball, I aim for forward to the goal. In my head, I'm going to score."

On Maldini's statements about him:

"Maldini says I have to become one of the three strongest full-backs in the world? Yes, I share that opinion. I believe that with the work I'm doing, I'm deserving it. I have to work even harder, work hard day after day and I hope that one day this time will come. Now I focus on myself to do the best and then some people will evaluate."

On the position changes in corner kicks:

"The coach sometimes tells me to take them or to stay on the rebound to finish, other times to stay in the penalty area, it depends on which team we face and consequently I position myself.  They don't tell me to kick normally but if I see the possibility to shoot I do it and then I hear Ibra shouting at me from afar! (laughs)."

On Ibrahimovic saying 'If I arrived at the beginning, we'd habe won Scudetto' last season:

"At the moment, we have no excuses. We are working hard every day. We will see what happens in the end."

On Ibrahimovic:

"Having Ibra in the team is a plus. What impresses is his physique. Reaching 39, he impresses how he is physically on the pitch and how he helps his teammates. If he gets angry? A lot! when we miss a pass he tells us that we have to give more. He is a great person and an excellent teammate. Sometimes he gets angry and scolds us, but it is right that he do it and tell us what to do better."

On his family:

"I have a wonderful relationship with my brother Lucas, we talk every day and we are very united, brothers until death. If we talk about the national team? No, not yet. That celebration against Lazio was a message for Deschamps. I'm working hard to be able to go to the national team. What I have to do is work every day and hope for the call-up. I was born in Marseille and raised in Spain, but I feel French. My family is in France and I'm French."

On his diet:

"I have a good diet: chicken, rice, vegetables ... but sometimes I also eat a pizza or a sandwich at McDonald's!"

On Hakimi:

"I didn't expect Real to let us go. We were both at Real Madrid and didn't play much. The best thing we could do was to leave, because if you are there and you don't play, you are not happy and you don't have the opportunities you would like to have. But both Hakimi and I have done our best and now we are both here in Milano. He is an incredible player. He has a lot of talent, speed, quality. We are more or less alike. I know him personally and we've been through a lot together. He's a good boy and an excellent friend. What will I tell him at the derby? Nothing, on the pitch we are all enemies, but outside we are all good friends."
