The Associazione dei Calciatori in Italia (Association of Football Players in Italy) announced today the shortlist for its Gran Galà del Calcio – AIC Top 11 awards 2020 edition, referring the 2019-2020 season performances, and there are two AC Milan Women’s team players in it.
Laura Fusetti has been selected as one of the best defenders while Valentina Giacinti, captain of the rossonere, is among the best strikers nominees.
An interesting fact is that Fusetti will compete with her current partner in the Milan’s defense since Laura Agard, who played for Fiorentina last season, is also among the nominees.
The voting jury that decides the winners, is made up of coaches, referees, journalists, the current head coach and former head coaches of the women’s and men’s national team and by the Serie A players, both women and men. The AIC has not yet officially announced date and time of the award ceremony
