The AC Milan Women’s firepower was too much for Pink Bari as the rossonere beat them 6-1 in matchday 14 of Serie A. New girl Yui Hasegawa made her league debut and, as anticipated, nicked the show playing fantastic football and bagging a brace, alongside Giacinti, with Dowie and Bergamaschi putting their name in the scoresheet as well while Helmvall scored for the pugliese.

The player ratings:

Starting eleven:

Korenciova (6) – Our goalie had almost nothing to do in the first half: a spectator.

Fusetti (6,5) – Another day in the office to one of the best defenders in the league. Had some lapses during the second half, as the whole team relaxed, conceding a goal from a corner.

Agard (6,5) – Much like her colleague, A good performance for the French centre back.

Spinelli (7) – Once again, Giorgia had a particularly good game both defensively and offensively, providing supporting runs on the left flank.

Rizza (6) – Federica have balanced perfomance playing as right winger, but left to desire in the corner which lead to the Helmvall’a goal.

Hasegawa (8) – Said and done. Yui had a central role in the victory, playing as a left midfielder, defending competently and, mainly, replacing Veró in a perfect way as the creative engine of this team, providing pace, quality passes, and scoring a brace in her league debut.

Rask (7) – Caroline have shown again that she is a suitable and reliable substitute for Refiloe Jane with another secure performance after a long time during the whole game.

Grimshaw (7) – The Scottish finally had a lively game, providing two assists, for Giacinti and Dowie, although she still lacks pass accuracy.

Bergamaschi (7) – Ganz decided to deploy her as a left winger and for the first time we could see a Vale Berga-like performance, with good runs and often seen on the opponent’s area. She scored her first goal of the season.

Giacinti (7,5) – Luckily the injury wasn’t really serious, and the skipper was able the play the full match, bag a brace to her name and increase her tally to 15 goals scored against Pink Bari with the rossoneri shirt.

Dowie (7) – Another goal to her name and one more good performance for our English stiker.

Substitutes:

Piazza (5,5) – She came in for Korenciova in the second half after a long period without playing time. Could have done better to avoid Pink Bari’s goal.

Kulis (6) – Replaced Bergamaschi in the left wing and provided the assist for Hasegawa’s second goal.

Conc (6) – Dominika came on for Grimshaw but didn’t keep up the pace.

Tamborini (5,5) – Sara replaced Hasegawa but this time struggled a little more to play as a midfielder, allowing the opponents to advance.

Vitale (6) – After Spinelli picked up an injury in the 70th minute, Vitale came on and offered a more physical defending, keeping the barese at bay.
