AC Milan won a very important game against AS Roma at the Olimpico stadium tonight, thus solidfying the spot in the second place behind city rivals Inter in Serie A rankings.
During the post-match press conference, coach Stefano Pioli answered some questions from the media, here are his words:
"We knew we hadn't been able to express our qualities lately. We deserved and had to score a few more goals, but it was an excellent match won against a strong team."
Has the team acquired maturity?
"We are young, but we are very responsible. These responsibilities weighed on us, but the reaction we have had today shows the maturity which we have acquired."
On the second half:
"I prefer to risk on the counterattack than to let the opponents play the game. When the benefits are greater than the costs, it is good to continue on our characteristics."
How are Ibra, Calahanoglu and Rebic how are they?
"I am very worried. It is the only negative note of the evening, but I hope it is only fatigue. In these three weeks we will play every three days and all are decisive matches. We hope they can come back because I need fresh and ready energy."
What is Milan's goal?
"The lead in the last 15 league games and the Manchester United clash. We are Milan and we have to try. We just have to give it our all. Winning the Europa League will be very difficult as well as getting into the top four."
