Former AC Milan midfielder and academy product Manuel Locatelli has spoken through the microphones of Sky Sport about his time spent with the Rossoneri. Here are his statements:
On Milan:
"The moment of my first training with Milan was an incredible emotion. I was 16, Allegri called me to the first team and Galli told me that I had to train with them: there were Kakà, Robinho, De Jong. [An] emotion that I will keep for my whole life. I will always remember the moment of my first contract as a professional: there was Galliani, a person I deeply respect and who was very important to me, who gave me his pen, that of Milan was a great emotion."
On his first goal in Serie A:
"I scored my first goal in Serie A against Sassuolo. An incredible match, we were down, I enter the field, we manage to equalize with my goal; in that moment in football I [didn't] think about nothing, I just looked at the ball that is stuffed under seven, I hear the roar of the audience and I start to run. They are emotions, moments, that you can't describe. I didn't really understand anything."
On Milan-Juve:
"Milan-Juve is one of those beautiful matches to play, I managed to score the decisive goal for the victory, it was an incredible emotion. Then casually, because I hadn't prepared anything, I rejoice in a slide and there was a photo that portrays the audience in ecstasy: a perfect film. The moment when I was told by Milan that we had to go two separate ways. It was devastating."
On his future:
"Since I have been at Sassuolo I have become aware of who I really am. I played for Milan and it was a fantastic experience, now here at Sassuolo I have found a beautiful reality. I don't know if this is the case. it will be my last year here, I dream of being important for this team and making a good European".
