Through the microphones of Sky Sport, Xavier Jacobelli has spoken about Milan's potential return to the Champions League and the importance of club head coach Stefano Pioli on the team. Here are his words:
"The return to the Champions League is fundamental, a competition in the Rossoneri's DNA. Thinking back to the Milan that came out of Bergamo defeated 5-0 and looking at the current AC Milan you can see the work of Pioli. Luckily Gazidis has backed off Rangnick's decision, also considering his ideas about some Rossoneri players. Pioli has combined a great style of play with the ability to enhance a very young team that, over time, has shown to react to difficult moments. This attitude legitimizes it. Milan's strength in believing in the pursuit of Inter".
