Following Sweden national team's victory against Kosovo, AC Milan's veteran frontman Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken in the press conference yesterday, where he replied to the Swedish hockey legend Borje Salming, who criticized the 39-year-old in an interview granted to Sportbladet.
"I want to make it clear that I respect Zlatan for what he can do on the pitch. He is a cruel footballer who wants to do a lot and then does it at his age. What I don't like is the style, the gestures and the language when he doesn't get what he wants because you can't always get it, but you have to be respectful to others. These discussions should therefore be conducted in a more controlled way in the locker room. That's why I've often wondered what he's doing and why he's doing it. Just because you are the best you can't do it all on your own and your way." said Salming.
"People spend their time seeing if I applaud or gesticulate. In Sweden if gesticulation is considered negative, in Italy it is different. Just because you gesticulate does not mean that you are negative. I am positive. I heard Salming open his mouth. and say something about gesturing on the pitch. But if you don't know the person, don't open your mouth. So think to yourself that I will think for myself." responded Zlatan.
