AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has spoken through the microphones of Sky Sport, following the Rossoneri's draw against Sampdoria earlier today. Here are his statements:
On the performance:
"Sampdoria also had players in the national team. Kjaer played for Denmark and played a good match today. There are no excuses. We were slow in phrasing and imprecise in our choices. There was plenty of room to do something more. When you make bad choices and play a game below your level these are the performances. Today there is disappointment and bitterness about how we played and there is no excuse."
On the attitude:
"We had to face the match with more rhythm and more attitude. There was no lack of spirit at the end of the match. We wanted to win again at San Siro but we did not succeed. The chance of Kessie's pole could have given us victory but for how we played we didn't deserve to win."
On the Scudetto fight:
"It is Inter who have the Scudetto in their hands. Only Inter can lose it."
