Sampdoria head coach Claudio Ranieri has spoken in the press conference after his team's draw against AC Milan in Serie A. Here are his statements:
On the match:
"I was sorry for the expulsion, playing the last half hour with one man less took away our conviction. The team, however, played well, I'm satisfied. We had a good match, the boys did everything I asked of them. We were in good shape and when you are so good you have to try to win it. Their first shot was at the end and that means that the team did well."
On Quagliarella:
"He always delights us, he deserves to be confirmed. He is the flag of Sampdoria, he is our Ibrahimovic. I hope to continue like this, we have only one point less than in the first round".
On the attitude of the team:
"My players have worked very well, helping each other. Good both in the pressure and in the defensive phase. We were really close from winning."
