AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has spoken in the press conference following the Rossoneri's victory against Parma. Here are his statements:
On the victory:
"We knew it would be a difficult match but we approached it well, we were leading deservedly, then it got complicated but the spirit and the will of the players to return to victory proved us right".
On what has changed compared to Sampdoria:
“You can't think too much about the previous game otherwise you can't think about the next one, we played with a different attitude, with more speed and rhythm. To give more solutions".
On what happened with Ibrahimovic:
“As often happens, the truth lies somewhere in between. To me Zlatan said he didn't offend the referee. And if he disrespected he would be the first to apologize to his teammates and the referee. There was a discussion but no offense. [I'm] sorry because Ibra was doing well on the pitch. We have to use other resources, we have strong players to replace him well”.
On Rebic and Leao as alternatives:
“Yes, then Mandzukic is better too, even if he doesn't have ninety minutes in his legs. I hope that next week he will improve in condition, we have suffered a lot in the past from the absence of players, if we manage to reach the end with more choices we have the possibility to improve the initial eleven and the changes. We have to play with this personality and approach to the game."
