Ahead of the game opposing AC Milan to Genoa this Sunday in Serie A, the Rossoblu's head coach Davide Ballardini has granted an exclusive interview to the club's official channel where he spoke about tomorrow's match. Here are his statements:
On dealing with a team like Milan:
"AC Milan you face him if you are well as a team, and if you play a great match. If you are not at your best, if you are not attentive and concentrated you risk making a bad impression."
On their victory against Milan before lockdown and whether the absence of Ibrahimovic would be a major handicap for the Rossoneri tomorrow:
"No, his absence is not a strong handicap for Milan. Last season, before the lockdown, it was a whole other story: it seemed everyone had to change, they didn't get it right. Milan did extraordinary results. Ibrahimovic is such an important player that even if he is not there he makes himself heard and Milan is another Milan compared to the one Genoa faced before the lockdown."
On Milan looking much more deadly in away games:
"Milan are second in the standings, then away from home they have perhaps a little more space but Milan are strong regardless and this year they have always played great games, both at home and away."
On whether he would make a turnover having to face Milan, Benevento and Spezia in seven days:
"We think about tomorrow's match, then after tomorrow's match we will think about the match with Benevento. One match at a time".
