AC Milan defender Davide Calabria has given an exclusive interview to Milan TV. Here are his statements:

On his recovery:

"I worked a lot, I spent a busy month trying to get back as soon as possible. The most important part of the season is now, I wanted to get back in the best possible conditions. I'm happy with the work I did."

On his condition:

"I felt pretty good, I lack a bit of brilliance in the long distance but I think it's normal after an injury and surgery."

On his personal performance against Sassuolo:

"I focused a lot on their attack, they have good players. Compared to usual I tried to manage myself a little more because it was a long time since I did a whole match."

On the renewal of Ibra:

"Milan are trying to get back to the top, Ibra helped us a lot, I think it is essential to keep him in the team. He is able to convey to us the sense of sacrifice and work. The Milan managers thought this, he has given us a lot and can still give us a lot. It's a strong signal. The team and I are focused on next season, it was a good signal after a day that was a bit so-so ".

On the tough calendar:

"I don't believe much in the hard and not hard calendar, all the games are hard. There are no obvious games, you have to be good at addressing them, if you can do it then it's easier to close them. In the last game we had to be better at doing it. They are difficult games even with direct clashes, but we are masters of our destiny, in recent years we have never had this chance".

On the standings:

"We have to concentrate and think positively until the end, it would be stupid to take everything away, we have to believe in it because the team has the potential to stay on top until the end. We will work until the last minute to stay there."

On what went wrong with Sassuolo:

"There are several matches in the match. They entered well, we had to finish it earlier, we had to be more brilliant in the last few meters. Sassuolo left us many counter-attacks [to make] that we could make better use of. We can't take these missteps anymore, we will have to fight until the last minute".

On the team:

"We are a great team, we have potential, we made some important performances. We have to think we can win them all. Lazio is a great team, it won't be easy, they have great players but I think we are no less, that we are from Milan and that if we want to reach the top we have to fight with our teeth to the end."
