Sweden national team head coach Janne Andersson has spoken in an interview granted to Fotbollskanalen about AC Milan's star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and whether he could call him up to the World Cup 2022. Here are his words:
"He is a unique player. When he trains he has the desire of a kid and he is still able to play as usual. It's a path that must be done step by step. Of course, if from a physical point of view he should [stay fit], as well as in the motivations, I would have no problem calling him. However, let's think about the European Championship. Then we will evaluate. I'm a bit worried to be honest. First the buttocks, then the groin, then other muscular problems of various kinds. Having him in the team is an advantage, especially after the matches in March, but these stops worry me. But at the same time it must be said that when he plays he is athletic and fit."
