Giuseppe Sala, the mayor of Milan, has spoken about the issue that is delaying the new San Siro stadium. Here are his words:
"If Inter tells me that they will keep control of the club for another three years, I have no more problems. But since I am aware, because potential buyers have reported it to me, of sale negotiations in the past period, I await clarification. If today the teams asked me to build only the stadium I would have much less problems, because it is a clear object, with a clear duration of the works. But if the theme is the stadium and other ancillary constructions, which bring four or five years of work and an impact on the neighborhood, it is clear that I say that if we are partners in redesigning the neighborhood, I want to know who you are."
