AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has spoken in the press conference earlier tonight after the win against Juventus. Here are his statements:
On the capital performance of the team and the clear win:
“I think there are no perfect matches but tonight we came very close. We played as a mature, expected and determined team and we won a difficult and very important motorcycle match. But we need to think about the next one immediately because in three days we will have another difficult match."
The Diaz choice? Are you pushing for Tomori's ransom?
“Every time we prepare strategies for individual matches. I thought I was playing with the two backs, two players better suited to fill those positions. I am fortunate to have all the players available and ready. Our intention for Tomori is clear and also that of the boy, but then we'll see at the end of the season”.
What are you missing to compete for the Scudetto?
“Our journey, which began not so long ago, takes time to win the Scudetto. We have been the best team for a long time in terms of spirit and dedication. "The best thing about the team is that we are growing a lot in this aspect. We know how to interpret matches and stay in difficulties. We worked well behind because we also did it in front. Then there is no doubt that Kjaer is a reference player for me and for the team”.

“We are laying the foundations to build a winning team, we are fighting for it. Many players are proving they can be of a high level. It is clear that every year we need to insert something new and improve ourselves”.
How is Ibrahimovic? Is he worried?
“Worried yes because he wasn't well this week, he gritted his teeth and helped the team as usual. He is a bit sore in his knee, the evaluations made during the week had ruled out problems but with the progress of the game the pain increased."
