Gianluigi Donnarumma, 22, has an expiring contract at the end of the season. AC Milan will have to get in touch with his agent, Mino Raiola, perhaps once the season ends, in order to discuss the extension.
It seems that the goalkeeper is moving towards the renewal, as reported in today's print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, he has never hidden his desire to stay at Milan but the difficulties encountered in the negotiation for the renewal of the contract have cast problems on the matter.
The newspaper highlights the fact that Juventus are out of the race to sign Donnarumma as long as they do not finish in a position that allows them to qualify for Champions League and earn the European competition's revenue. Then, the Bianconeri would not be able to satisfy Raiola's economic requests.
Instead, Donnarumma is now closer than before to staying at Milanello. The agreement might be a one or 2-year extension, as the article reported.
