Gianluca Di Marzio, Sky journalist and transfer market expert discusses the Donnarumma-Maignan situation within AC Milan club and this is what he had to say:
"There are excellent relations between AC Milan and Lille. With the risk of not losing Maignan, who was also sought by Rome, Milan accelerated and did well to sign him who had an expiring contract in 2022."
On Raiola's commission:
"There is a lot of talk about this famous commission that Raiola asked for. We checked both on the Raiola front and on the Milan front: we never got to talk about commissions because Milan's offer was not accepted, agreement was reached on the engagement; unfortunately - Milan says - there was no talk of a commission."
"The commission was not the obstacle to the negotiation. Milan had already decided on Maignan before Sunday evening, so even if on Monday Donnarumma and Raiola had lowered their demands, Milan would have replied that they have already taken on another goalkeeper and that they arrived late."
On Donnarumma's next destination:
"Donnarumma doesn't have an agreement with another team currently. Maybe he signs with a team at 6 million, or 7-8 ... Today he didn't finish with anyone. Is there a possibility that he will stay at Milan? For me it is over. It is Milan's choice not to wait for him anymore."
