Netherlands international Memphis Depay, who is said to be followed by AC Milan and especially Barcelona, has spoken to NOS about his future, denying rumors which claimed that his transfer to the Blaugrana is depending on whether his compatriot and ex-head coach Ronald Koeman would remain at the lead of the Catalan club. Here are his words:
“I don't think something like that should matter when Barcelona are interested in you, they are a fantastic club. But of course I would like Koeman to stay, especially for himself. But ... there are nicer clubs. No matter where I go, I wish Koeman would stay there. For now, I am 100% focused on the national team. It's a fantastic time, let me be clear."
