AC Milan winger Alexis Saelemakers has granted an exclusive interview to Eleven Sports Belgium where he has spoken about many topics. Here are his statements:
On Anderlecht's Sambi Lokonga:
"He is my brother in football. He knows everything about me and I know everything about him. Lokonga at Milan? I told him to come. It's his decision."
On Lukaku:
"In a way he is my worst enemy. But at the same time he is one of my best friends in Milan. We can't go out together because in Milan football is like a religion. If the fans saw us together they would get angry. Lukaku is a beautiful person and a great player."
About Cristiano Ronaldo:
"In my second or third match in Milan, he hugged me. He's one of the idols I grew up with. He didn't know me, but he heard about my transfer to Milan and congratulated me on it. You would never think that a player like that can be so humble. It's unbelievable."
On Jérémy Doku of Rennes:
"I didn't have time to get to know him very well. But he's an exceptional talent. I remember his first training with the first team at Anderlecht, I was marking him as a man, Doku wanted to show his qualities at the team and therefore it was not easy to defend against him. I'm happy that he has been called up for the European Championships."
On Club Bruges:
"It is a possible opponent in the next Champions League. They were the undisputed champions in Belgium, they were very strong. They have a lot of talents. I hope Anderlecht can compete with them next season".
On Neerpede (Anderlecht sports center):
"That's where it all started. It's always a pleasure to see the young Anderlecht play. I remember when I was in the youth academy and the pros could come and see us play. You were motivated to give even more. I think it's one of the best youth sectors in Belgium and perhaps in Europe. Anderlecht youth teams always reach the finals in the biggest tournaments. Congratulations to the coaches and sporting directors of Anderlecht because they are doing a great job."
