Olivier Giroud who is very much liked by AC Milan club management, according to many reports, may be close to move to Milanello. However, the latest information confirm Paolo Maldini's desire to only sign him as a free agent.
According to the latest information revealed by Il Corriere dello Sport, Giroud's contract extension which was an option exercised by the club, is to keep only one Premier League club away and not sign him on a free: rivals Tottenham Hotspurs.
The newspaper also confirms that Chelsea promised the French experienced attacker Giroud he can be freed if there's an offer for him from abroad.
