Mike Maignan signed with AC Milan a few weeks ago as a replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma who will soon complete his move to PSG on a free transfer.
The Rossoneri management was quick in securing the French goalkeeper's services on a 5-year contract.
Maignan, 26, is currently with the France squad preparing for the Euros competition.
His coach at the national team, Didier Deschamps, gave an interview to Sportweek, in which he discussed the gloveman:
"Maignan has excellent natural qualities. He had a great season with Lille and even if he has two important goalkeepers in front of him in the national team, he will play a leading role in the future."
"Maignan has the physical strength that allows him to cover a lot of space in goal between the posts, it is difficult to find many openings with him there. His move to AC Milan is never a bad choice."
