Junior Firpo has been courted and liked by AC Milan board for some time now, even in previous mercato sessions. The club thinks of him as an ideal backup for the starting French left-back Theo Hernàndez.
Previous reports mentioned that Milan would like to sign the 24 year-old left-back on a loan transfer move. However, recent news arrive from Spain, precisely Mundo Deportivo, who claim that Barcelona are not looking to let go of the player on loan.
The Camp Nou club is looking to fund its transfer market moves by selling players immediately. Therefore, Milan will try to take the player by purchasing his card outright from the Spanish giants.
Not only Milan, but on the player, there are other Serie A sides interested: Napoli and Fiorentina. From England, two Premier League clubs have registered their interest as well on the defender: West Ham, Southampton.
