Sassuolo chairman Giovanni Carnevali has spoken through the microphones of TRC about the future of club's star winger and Italy international Domenico Berardi, who is reportedly targeted by AC Milan, among others. Here are his words:
"The intention of our late patron Giorgi Squinzi was for Berardi to become a Sassuolo flag. Domenico was right in the past to hold out in the face of requests from other clubs, becoming today an important player in our national team. I cannot promise that he will stay with us: it's not a question of money. Berardi is a special guy, with very clear ideas. He wants to continue to have fun. His will will be important both for the choice of the club to go to, also taking into account those who coach him."
