American news source ESPN reported today on the eventual rebuild this summer of Solskjaer's Manchester United squad, and Diogo Dalot and Donny van de Beek's fate seem to be in question. United are looking for a revamp this summer and could have some expensive signings coming in. To afford those, the club may have to ship some players out. Among those are Diogo Dalot, who was on loan with Milan last season and has gained approval from those at Casa Milan, and midfield target Donny van de Beek.
Van de Beek came to Manchester United last summer in a big signing, but failed to be a regular in the rotation. The club has claimed that "every player has a realistic valuation", and van de Beek certainly fits in that category. The club would be happy to collect a profit for the player, as they paid almost 40 million last summer for the Dutchman. Milan have their eyes on the midfielder, but may have trouble paying that sort of fee. They would be happy to take the player on loan, but that has yet to be discussed.
Dalot had a promising season with the red and black this year. The player had some rocky performances, but by the end of the season looked comfortable as a replacement for Davide Calabria. Manchester United could look to collect a profit for the player, as he does not appear to be an immediate piece of Solskjaer's plan moving forward. Milan will look for a possible solution with the English club, but will not look to spend a large sum of money on a rotational player.
