Diogo Dalot signed with AC Milan on a dry loan move, coming from Manchester United to Italy last season.
The player was used on both sides of the pitch by replacing and alternating with Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez whenever there was the need.
According to multiple reports, Milan would still like to spend another season with the Portuguese defender, but it seems that the Red Devils are not too keen on letting the player leave so simply and easily.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's edition, Paolo Maldini is not giving up yet on this front. Him and Frederic Massara do believe in the Portugal international's qualities and see him as the ideal profile for the fullback position.
In addition to that, Dalot knows the Serie A by now and is familiar with the club's environment and Milanello, as mentioned before, he can play on both flanks. These are all factors that make Milan management push for the signing of the player.
Now, it remains to be seen if Manchester United agree to let the player leave on loan with an option to buy or obligation to buy.
