One of the goals of AC Milan owners, Elliott fund, is to build a stadium for the club instead of having to play in the San Siro and paying rent for it.
The Rossoneri executives plan to go ahead with the new stadium project with their counterparts from the other side of town: Inter's management.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Milan and Inter have delivered the requested documents to the mayor. However, the final green light is not given yet.
The newspaper explains that there is a risk that we have to wait until autumn elections and only then choose the project between the two stadium designs proposed: The Cathedral by Populous, and The Rings of Milano by Sportium/manica.
