AC Milan's former legendary Italian centre-back, Alessandro Nesta, spoke to Sportweek exclusively. He is currently a football coach who had some experiences in Serie B sides.
Nesta spoke about about Carlo Ancelotti who is his model and source of inspiration:
"Tactically, Zeman was a revolutionary. But Ancelotti is like a second father for me. a coach who makes you live well even if he demands a lot. For him I would have done anything. He is one who does not abandon the players, even if they play badly."
The former player also commented on AC Milan's last campaign:
"I must say that Milan have done a great job. After Berlusconi, Milan changed ownership and management twice: it means starting almost from scratch, with players taken from other ownerships but that you have to keep them because they had 3-4-year contracts."
On Donnarumma's exit:
"There is a difference compared to my times. When I arrived at Milan it was a top team, there was no better around. Today it has not yet returned to the elite. Now, there is PSG and Manchester City among the clubs that are at the top. If Donnarumma decides to go to one of the two, I don't allow myself to judge. It's his business. But, there should be new transfer rules to regulate how things go, like salary caps and agents commissions."
