As reported by Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan managers are targeting the profile of Nikola Vlasic, playmaker, who can also act as a winger. He plays for CSKA Moscow as he tied to the Russian outfit with a contract until 2024.
The deal is looking difficult because the pricetag is too high for Milan's reach which is valued at 30 million euros, while Milan wants to close the deal on a loan with an option to buy with the total transfer cost being worth 25 million euros.
The newspaper adds that Milan does not want to be unprepared. They have placed two players in their shortlist as alternative to Nikola Vlasic.
33-year-old attacking midfielder from Slovenia, Josip Ilicic, is coming back into fashion for the market men at Casa Milan. The idea is gaining more heat by the day as he can be an easier target to sign.
Ilicic's teammate at Atalanta is also an option: Matteo Pessina, who is a Primavera product of the Rossoneri club. AC Miln has 50% of the resale for Pessina. But to Corriere dello Sport's knowledge, there is no negotiation on that front yet.
Finally, a profile from Germany must not be excluded, that would be Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig who has an expiring contract at the end of the next season.
