AC Milan finished second in the league standings last season and had a great run of form with the Italian coach Stefano Pioli who transformed the team, also thanks to good signings.

The work of Pioli has been highly estimated by the club and fans and even in the Premier League, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reports that Pioli rejected a proposal coming from Tottenham who had also thought of him to overtake after sacking José Mourinho.

But, Pioli said no because he is committed to the AC Milan project and likes the idea of leading the Rossoneri to higher places more than taking the tactical reigns of Tottenham.

Now, Stefano Pioli is waiting for a call from Casa Milan to renew the contract which is due to expire in a year, concludes the report of La Gazzetta.
