AC Milan's dream for the attacking midfield is to sign from Chelsea the Morocco international, Hakim Ziyech.
The former Ajax player is not part of Thomas Tuchel's plans. After appointing the German coach to replace Frank Lampard, Ziyech's playing time was reduced. He is not a regular starter in the lineup anymore now.
According to what has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's edition, AC Milan are still keen but Chelsea are not interested in letting the 28-year-old go on loan.
Another obstacle in Massara and Maldini's way is the big salary that Ziyech has which is 5 million euros net per season.
It is certainly a costly operation that is not within the reach of the Rossoneri managers. However, the club leaders are still observing the situation.
The Italian newspaper outlines AC Milan's strategy to snatch the player on their own terms which is waiting until the end of the mercato session of this summer. In fact, the Italian giants are hoping that the financial demands of Chelsea would be decreased in order to be able to offload a player like Ziyech who does not fit into the project of their German technician.
