Franco Baresi reacted to AC Milan drawing Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, and Porto in Group B of the Champions League. He entrusted these words to the microphones of Sky Sport:
"It is clear that starting from the fourth pot we had to be very lucky. We are in a very difficult group, but we must not forget the history of Milan. We will play these matches with great enthusiasm, the team is young and ready."
On the group:
"Looking at group A and group B the choice did not change much. Let's not forget who we are, we have to enjoy the moment. We are back in the Champions League after 7 years, I think the team will want to play these important matches. We must not lose enthusiasm and conviction."
On the opponents:
"It is always difficult to play against Atlético Madrid, Porto is a hard team, Liverpool are strong and have the quality. They are great games to face. For many heren it is their first experience and therefore there will be the desire. In football, then, nothing is taken for granted. On leaders and mentality:
"I believe that Kjaer, Ibrahimovic and Kessie have been important and have made everyone grow. Milan showed a beautiful and proactive football, we must not lose these traits of ours. Individualities will certainly make a difference, but the team will have to prove that they are compact."
