AC Milan signed Junior Messias from Crotone to reinforce the attacking midfield area for coach Stefano Pioli's lineup. The 30-year-old's story is quite interesting. He was a delivery boy a few years back, playing in the lower divisions before signing a professional contract with Crotone. Now, he is a Rossonero.
The Brazilian spoke about this experience to the club's official channel:
"When I came to Italy, I decided to work hard in football and in my job. I had a dream but I thought I wouldn't make it."
The playmaker continued:
"UISP tournaments and Eccelenza, I thought I couldn't make it. The promotions came, to Serie B, to Serie A. I had a dream."
On his days at Brazil:
"I remember dribbling on the street in Ipatinga, and now I am here, at one of the biggest clubs in the world."
On signing for Milan:
"As much as you can be rational, there's always a fairytale which you end up believing. I'm a Rossonero, I'm an AC Milan player."
