The Champions League competition for AC Milan starts today with a tough game against a strong side in the Premier League, Liverpool, who are coached by German tactician Jurgen Klopp.
Unfortunately for Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was announced injured yesterday and had to stay at home as a precaution. The club decided that a risk should not be taken, therefore the Swede veteran will remain out of the game.
Yesterday, during the press conference, coach Pioli did admit that he has not figured out yet who he will be choosing between Olivier Giroud and Ante Rebic for the striker position.
According to what is reported by Corriere della Sera in today's edition, the Croatian attacker will be the starter in the match against Liverpool. As for Olivier Giroud, who returned to training after a period of isolation due to testing positive to Covid-19, cannot be be 100% fit to start, he simply does not have the full 90 minutes in his legs yet, especially for an intense match like the one which takes place today.
