Stefano Pioli spoke to Milan TV after the match against Liverpool which ended in the Premier League side's favour. Here are the Italian manager's words:
"The game will tell us many things and made us understand what the level of the Champions League is. The impact was strong and we suffered at the start. Liverpool are a very strong team and we know what the environment can give. There would have been the possibility of bringing home a positive result, that would have been very useful in terms of the group and for our growth."
What did Milan learn from this game?
"We have to interpret the matches as we are trying to do it. The level is very high but we are not far from this pace. We have to recover some important players but the level of performance has been good, there are positive things and we can grow."
Which aspect should be improved?
"It's true that their pressure was strong but we could move better on the side chains with full-back and winger. Their pressure was very strong but when we managed to overcome this pressure we did well."
On the third goal's mistake:
"We made a mistake and we will analyse it well. At these levels, mistakes are expensive."
