AC Milan's striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been very good for Milan even despite his absences. The player is important off the pitch and in the locker room as he gives experience to the younger ones aronud him.
Zvonimir Boban, the Rossoneri club's former director and player, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the Swede's impact:
"It was 10:30 PM on 24 December 2019. There is an hour and a half to Christmas. The phone rings. His name appears on the display. Time to say" ready "and on the other chapter: 'Congratulations, you and Milan have taken on Ibrahimovic...'. So Zlatan in his unmistakable way announced to me that our courtship to get him back to the Rossoneri had been successful. What to say? I couldn't hope for a better Christmas present. And now that we are approaching such an important date, I can only add to the long list of friends who wish him good wishes."
"His name and history will be remembered for who knows how long. As a former manager who strongly wanted his return to the Rossoneri when he was already 38, I can say without a doubt that Milan's path to return to his levels would not have started if he hadn't been there. At that moment there was not a player in the world who could give what Ibra gave in terms of personality, charisma, performance and mentality, on and off the pitch. A phenomenon: and I will always thank him. Best wishes, Zlatan", concluded Boban.
