Franck Kessié's contract ends in June 2022 and efforts from technical area director Paolo Maldini with sporting director Frederic Massara have gone unsuccessful in convincing the Ivorian midfielder to stay at Milanello.
The former Atalanta player had a great display overall last season which made many clubs want to sign him on a free once his contract expires. It is reported that some big European names would be ready to satisfy the player's financial requests.
Now, according to sources in England, as cited by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United is eyeing a transfer for Kessié who could be the heir of French super star Paul Pogba.
In fact, Pogba also has an expiring contract at the end of the season and currently earns 14 million euros net per year plus bonuses. Kessié, on the other hand earns now around 2.2 million euros net and would accept a yearly salary of 8 million euros.
