AC Milan, led by coach Stefano Pioli, managed to grab an important win away from home against Gasperini's Atalanta. The Rossoneri scored 3 goals thanks to Davide Calabria, Sandro Tonali and Rafael Leao.
Atalanta scored two goals in what was a failed late comeback.
The best player on the pitch was Sandro Tonali established physicality and dominance in the middle of the pitch. Most importantly, he made a very big individual effort as he took the ball from Atalanta's defender and sprinted towards the goal freely before scoring the second goal. La Gazzetta dello Sport awarded him a rating of 8.
Mike Maignan was equally impressive to. The French goalkeeper was shown a rating of 7.5, same as Davide Calabria who scored a quick goal, 30 seconds in the match already. A 7.5 also goes to Theo Hernandez, on the other side, had an exccelent game too thanks to his attacking contribution as he gave the assist to Rafael Leao in the third goal.
The Portuguese forward enjoyed a good game, he was very dangerous and a 7 rating was awarded to him same as Fikayo Tomori and Brahim Diaz.
Franck Kessié came back from a disappointing display against Atlético Madrid and showed quality and strength, he had a 6.5 rating. Ante Rebic and Alexis Saelemaekers also have the same grade.
Simon Kjaer, on the other hand, was given a 6. He came back from injury and had some time to adjust especially in the first half.
The worst player on the pitch for AC Milan, though, was Junior Messias (5.5). He gave away a penalty after a handball and lost the ball against Duvan Zapata which led to the second goal of Atalanta.
